Someone leaving my parking lot had a bit of a run-in with the guard rail on the small bridge. I watched him stare at it for a while and eventually fix it, which was impressive
I heard a loud crack while doing my excersizes, and hobbled over to the window to see this site.
Here's a close-up. The driver has already abandoned the van...and the guard rail is quite noticeably broken.
Here's another shot.. You get a good idea of how if that guard rail isn't there, people are going right into that little creek.
And now the driver returns.
here's the broken railing and the pillar which appears to have moved a bit. Not so good.
So now the dude is trying to fix the thing, I think. At least he's moved the van, and is taking a closer look at the damage.
Now he's trying to straighten out the pillar by trying to back into it. He seems to be having limited success.
He got back into his van.. and appears to be leaving.
And the board has been weakly set in place...
There he goes...
He came back! I neglected to mention that before he left, he grabbed a tape measure, and measured the board that he busted. So now he's back, and it looks like he got something.
He grabbed a new board from the van just in time to meet up with 2 guys from Ramblewood staff. (they are the ones that pour a few tons of salt on our sidewalk each day) So they had a nice chat, and eventually the Ramblewood dudes took off.
And here's the new board, all attached and everything.
