Lan Party 5
Another LAN Party at my place. This time with a twist: teams in different rooms! BDF, Joel, and I teamed up, and set up our computers in my bedroom, while Adam, Tuuk, then later JHo and Dave [and a remote Andy] were out in the living room.
Here is room #1, let's call it "Team Discovery Channel". This team consisted of Adam, Tuuk, and for a time Andy [remotely], then later JHo, and Dave. As was described by some members of the team once we were done, there was "a lot of talking [yelling], but not much teamwork going on" on this team. They did manage a number of impressive stops, though, including two stops when we were inches/seconds away from victory.
On the flip side, they did manage to get their asses completely kicked on a map or two as well. I recall a particularly spectacular failure in a mission to get a tank across a bridge. I think the "shock and awe" strike of Joel, BDF, and myself just overwhelmed them. We had Joel calling in airstrikes and artillery fire on the Tank, keeping it permanantly fubar, I was in a tall tower mowing down men trying to fix the tank or build the bridge, and BDF was on sniper duty, taking out any soul foolish enough to try the footbridge or go sneaking through the forest.
