Lan Party 4

The balloons still filled the dining room Saturday morning. You'll recall that these were filled before my trip to Europe.

Here we are about 2 minutes later. Score: RON:100 Balloons: 0.

And here we have the remains. There were a lot of balloons.

Here's the familiar scene: The living room rearranged to make way for people.

And the dining room. There was a chance we'd have up to 10 people playing (Adam, Tuuk, Joel, BDF, Alan, Andy, Me, Swac, Jho, and Jplant.)

Here's the living room all set for people.

Andy was the first to arrive.

Jplant was number 2.

Joel & Tuuk showed up soon after.

Joel is setting up his laptop.

Tuuk is enjoying his Wendys.

BDF showed up from Chicago, and joined us, which was sweet. He's sporting his playah visor... His computer also sounded like a jet engine blasting its afterburners for a while.

Tuuk is all set and ready to play.... a one player game for the next hour or so.

JHo arrives, and we are good to go. No shows included Adam [repairing a downed mail server] and Alan [he claims to have forgotten, I'm told, but I'm assuming he's just a jerk.] Swac was in early in the day, which put the total at 7.

After a while playing Unreal Tournament 2003, we started up Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory, and that game ruled. Imagine a more fleshed out version of UT: Assault, with specialized troops (medic, engineer, special ops, etc.) and realiztic WWII weapons. I was a fan instantly... even though I had no clue what I was doing.

The games have wound down, and we're about to head off to Max & Ermas for some food. Tuuk fires up Elite Forces and gives it a whirl.

Much Vanilla Coke was consumed.

Tuuk is sexy.

After dinner, we hooked the gamecubes/gameboy players together, and played some 4 player Mario Kart Advanced. It was pretty sweet.

Joel and I played a little 4 swords afterwards, which was much fun. For those of you who wondered, you can hook up multiple cubes/players together, even though the instructions say that you can't.
