An Eastown Thanksgiving

Here I am showing off my photography prowess by take a picture of a cabinet and a dark room. I'm in the kitchen, and out in the living room are a number of tables, already filling with food.

The pressure in the kitchen has gotten to Mark already. In the back, we have Tuuk going to work on the Ham. The Ham was so unbelieveably good, I'm insisting on capitalizing it whenever it is mentioned. I spent much of this time seeing how best I could get in the way in the kitchen.

Joel was manning the stove, waiting for the chance to mash the potatoes (which were also quite good). In case you wondered, those pots were hot. Holding one of them for an extended period of time could cause real damage to your hands.

Here we have Caroline, running the show in the kitchen. She did a fine job. On the bottom right you can see some homemade pink applesauce. That stuff is really good.

Jplant, Joel, [eventually] Dave, and I were relagated to the kiddie table. AS expected, a slight wobble resulted in teh majority of my milk ending up on my plate or the table. (stupid Joel..) Anyway, our table was positioned between the two large tables, and thus, all the food ended up by us. It was an ideal situation. the plate on the right is mine. Take note that there is a fair amount of food on said plate, and that I did indeed eat it all. I'm set for about two weeks, by my guess. Also note the cranberry sauce jello in the center... Leave it to Jplant to steal my thunder once again. [insert horribly inappropriate joke about someone's mother]

Here we have the head table, where the important people sat. Toshi was remarkably well behaved the entire evening, giving rise to the popular theory that Alan had been sharing the wine with him much of the evening.

Behind Tuuk and Jplant we have the 3rd table. Doesn't it look like Tuuk is about to punch Jplant... or that he just nailed him in the stomach, and Jplant is doubling over in pain? That would've been fun to watch.

We've finished the meal, cleaned up many of the dishes, and are now slicing up the pies.

Afterwards, we just sort of hung around for a while, and tried to think of ways to get Mark H. to eat candle wax. Turns out candle wax tastes horrible.
