Today was a travel day. We went from Edinburgh to Glasgow to the Ferry, across to Belfast, and all the way down to Dublin. On the way, we walked through a few cities, and then got to hear the drunk Irishmen sing.
This picture is the only one I have from the train from Belfast to Dublin, but this train ride was one of, if not the best experiences from the entire trip. This whole car was filled with these older Irish guys, who all drank quite a bit on the trip. Across the aisle there, agaisnt the window is a guy who kept demanding that people would "give us a song"... Finally, someone agreed, and the singing began, and lasted the rest of the trip. Joel, Robb, Thomas, and I got to sit back, and be treated to a number of Irish songs sung by a variety of people, with this table across from us always joining in on the choruses. It was so fun watching this guy by the window get really, really excited/animated when they started singing.. then slap the table whenever he got lost or forgot the words. When we got to the station, he came over to our side, and shook our hands, and told us we were good singers, and thanked us for joining in. We thanked him for providing us with an experience we will never forget.
