Sven, Tim, Adam, and I headed off to the second annual Cub's game. Like last year, it was late in the season and against the Houston Astros. And like last year, the Cub's won! Unlike last year, we sat in the bleachers, and it was spectacular! I'd never been up there before, and it was by far the best seats I've ever had at a Cub's game. We were right against the wall, and could see everything. Cub's Win! Cub's Win!

Cub's Game! We just arrived, hella early, and we got seats right up against the wall in right center field. As you can see, the place is still mostly empty. The bleachers are kinda filled just in the front rows, especially on the left field side.

I thikn that's Corey Patterson with the warm up jacket thing on.

Up there you can see the WGN booth. Ron Santo and Pat Hughes!

Cub's are finishing up Batting practice, and doing some infield practice as well.

Here's me and the field.. It is a bit bright out, I guess.

And here's a better shot where I actually look happy. Okay, now note that that's me standing, and a few feet behind me is the warning track... that freaking rules. To the left, is Sven, and the basket. Go Cubs.

One more for good measure. For the record, I am adoreable.

There's left field, and you can see it's a bit more full already. Cubs are finishing up their warm ups.

And this is the friendly confines of Wrigley Field. Oh yeah, while we were walking outside, this group of guys were pointing at the Eamus Catuli sign, then saw us (Sven, Tim and I all clad in Cub's Uniforms.) and asked "Hey, can you translate that? So I looked over and said "It says 'Go Cubs', or 'Let's Go Cubs'" How so? It's Latin. What about the other one? AC is year of the Cubs, then it's the number of years since they won the Division, the League, and the World Series... Oh That's cool.. Not cool that's it's been so long, but.. yeah, I hear you. Thanks! No problem. Story Over!!

Now the Astros are warming up. We think these are all pitchers. Prove us wrong!

I'm still marveling at how close we are to these guys. You yell things at them, and they look at you and actually respond. It was kewl. During the game I told Corey Patterson "Good throw, Corey." That was before his error cost us a run. (The ball hit his glove and popped right out. It was awful.)

Astos practicing in the outfield.. They were so much interested in moving much. Also, there's Biggio.

This is looking straight down. There's the Ivy, and the brick wall. Awesome.

Story: During Astros BP, one of the coaches was out in right center, and when a ball was hit near him, he'd hold a bat out to slow it down or stop it. Then a liner was hit to him, and he held the bat out, and the ball hit it, and snapped the bat right near the handle! He showed a few people, then stuck the bat in the ground, and set the hand on top to form a little cross. You can see it sitting near the center of the picture.
