The 2nd Annual Camping Weekend

I have just arrived at the camp, and Robb and Swac were relaxing. This is our camp site. We got a pretty good, fairly secluded spot. I was pleased.

Here's the tent (same as last year.. I don't think we had given it back yet..)

Obligatory "Me camping" self photo. Also, I think I did a fine job cutting my hair this time.

Roasting a marshmellow.. you can see some toast on the grill over the fire.. that toast was there for a while.

We took a walk down to the lake. Here's the dock.

We found a stick with a hook and bobbler, so we tried to do some fishing... We got no fish. There was a group of kids fishing when we arrived, and one little boy caught a fish, then proceeded to drag it along the dock, while occasionally tossing it over the railing (all while still hooked of course) back into the water. Not surprisingly, the fish did not survive the process. Had I had my way, neither would that boy.

You can't really see it, but there's a spray of marshmellow bits coming out of Robb's mouth. Ah... Robb..

EXTREME! We're off for some EXTREME bike riding then some EXTREME frisbee! EXTREME!! to the max.

After much fun with bikes and frisbee (including a spectacular fall by Robb [note the scrapes on his leg on the left there]) it was time for dinner: Hamburgers. Robb is loading them up with some honey bbq sauce.

Here are our burgers. They tasted quite good.

One burger, (in the center, poked by the long stick) did not survive the burning.

it got dark.. and Robb had this bright light sitting on the table, and I took a picture of it, and moved the camera while the picture was being taken, and I ended up with this shot.

Well, that gave me an idea. So after a few shots, I got this nice O.

I decided to spell my name [one letter at a time, of course.] After a while, I got a pretty good R, but it was upsidedown and backwards.. so I realized I had to move the camera upsideown and backwards to get what I wanted. Remember, this is a picture of a light on a table at night, so it's a very quick movement right after pressing the button.

I tried for a star, and got this. Not too shabby.

This one was pretty good too.

Robb wanted to get in on the action, so he told me to shoot this.

I think he wanted to either make a kewl looking shadow, or make it look like he was taking a bright white dump.

Then i turned the flash on, to get this awesome shot.

Back to spelling my name.

Finally, I'm getting closer to a proper R.

This one is pretty good.. could be a keeper

Time for an N. Not bad on my first try.

A few more tried, and I got this good N.

Swac put the frisbee in front, and we got this nice Red effect going on.

Now I can make Red shapes and letters

that was enough fun with the light. The guys are making smores.. and I'm eating a chocolate bar. I don't like marshmellows.

It's later, and we're going for a walk to an open area to do some stargazing. That was one of the best parts about last years trip.. just staring at the sky, watching falling stars, etc. As you can tell from the picture, I emit a bright light when I am in contact with mortals.

Here's Robb walking with us. Swac and I saw a satellite while waiting for Robb, who went and took a shower at the other camp site (the non "rustic" site, I guess) Then we all saw quite a few falling stars, then headed back to camp.

There are stars everywhere. Just because you can't see them, doesn't mean I couldn't then.

It's tomorrow, and we're eating breakfast before packing up.

We're all packed up, and set to leave

We took nothing but pictures, and left nothing but footprints, and some logs for the fire, and urine.
