The Audio Shelf

Okay, this isn't quite on topic, but just look at this... Life is very, very good.

Here we have [almost] all the parts to the thing. I'm excited.. I like building.

Rachel was playing Zelda while I built it. At first she was just watching me.. but it made me nervous and self-concious, so I told her she had to do something... plus she was close to an important part in Zelda [Those that have played through, she was about to acquire a particularly legendary sword.]

See. Zelda! and there are the components, sitting on the subwoofer which currently is not hooked up and doesn't seem to work [Those two things are separate.. otherwise it not being hooked up would seem to be a good reason why it wasn't working.]

There's the base. It has wheels, which'll be really nice when I need to move it around.. but they're invisible from the front, which is also nice.

Now the sides are assembled and put with the shelves and base. And Rachel has finally figured out a clever way to kill the armored guards easily and quickly (Sneak up behind them, and cut off their armor.)

Here is it standing up with the top on. Now to add more shelves and the back... also, now Arrested Development is one, so things are going a lot slower.

We've got the back on, and the glass on the front.. and now I'm filling it with components. [A Bonus Simpsons episode is on.]

Here it is, in place and filled with electronic goodness. I'm testing out the subwoofer to make sure it isn't working.. [It didn't work.. I need to get it fixed.]

But here's the new look of the room. I hope to eventually pick up a nice shelf to store the games we have, and stick that on the right side to balance everything out. Then fix the subwoofer, throw that in the back of the room, and we're all set. Also note that the media machine looks quite lovely sitting there with all the other components.. (it's it the very middle, above the VCR.) S-E-X-Y!
