This was the first computer art picture I ever made. I had this messed up dream where a flower was looking into a lake, and the reflection was all black. I woke up, and really wanted to capture that somehow. So I tried to draw it, but no dice, so I looked for something else, and ended up with 3D Studio Max.
Now for the story. I was seeing this girl for quite some time. Anyway, one Christmas I got her an emerald necklace. And shortly after Christmas she completely screwed me over (she had a habit of doing that). And I was pissed for quite some time. So yeah, this was kind of a cathartic experience. I finished it on Valentines Day 1998. I named it after the Soul Asylum song "Promises Broken"
